Image Gallery | The graphics for this slideshow were made with my 3D-Engine, which I released this year (2019). All the rendered objects were taken directly from the NASA 3D Resource site and are scaled down to about 3.000 vertices in Blender. Down-scaling is an art form in itself, that's why the objects look a little odd. MMS came up with the idea of doing this slideshow for AROK 2019. He choose this great NASA font and the red-green color scheme (which was inspired from the famous intro of the 80's sci-fi film "The Black Hole").
The head of the ape is called "Suzanne". A default object from Blender, like spheres, cubes, etc. We choose it to show the link to Blender. The Shuttle picture on the second info page, was a very early one, when I was developing my 3D-Engine. You see a refined and better version later on. Actually with that shuttle, which has about 2000 vertices, the BASIC 3D-Engine had reached its maximum limit of holding objects in memory. I had no memory left for the Boosters, which I desperately wanted to show. An inspiration of holding the vertices as integer (2 bytes) instead of real-numbers (5 bytes), made it possible to render objects up to 3000+ vertices, which made all the other pictures possible, like the space stations, etc...
