Yes, this also works for me. I got a Plus/4 without a PS, so I replaced the square connector of the Plus/4 with a round one from an old C64. The Plus/4 has mounting holes for both types of connectors, so there is no chance to establish any wrong connections. This way a standard C64
supply with the round connector can be used.
Alternatively, the round plug of a C64 supply can be replaced with the square plug from the dead Plus/4 supply, but one must be very careful not to make any wrong connections. Therefore the other option is much preferred!
