The group was formed by
Future in (1990 or 1991). The group's memberstatus was "fluid"; Future is not mentioned in any releases, and some members (who are never credited with anything) are mentioned only once (e.g. "Hori/Hory" or "Józsi").
The group was meeting every Friday around 6 PM at "KÖFÉM" Clubhouse in Székesfehérvár. Most members are from the city, BSZ lives around 25 Km away. The members had to lug their hardware to the club, where TVs were available. Most time is spent with swapping software, watching demos, playing games and chatting. Band was the most active swapper of the group.
In (late 1990 or early 1991),
Sensor joins, using the handle Dudi.
In March 1991, a party is held at Székesfehérvár, and a
party demo is released. The memberlist is:
Band,
Dudi,
Szaki,
BSZ,
Suty and "Józsi". (None of the known members are called József.)
Terror News 17 (from 1991-08) reports that the group has 5 members:
Szaki,
Suty,
Dudi,
Band and
BSZ.
Dudi soon decides to pick "Sensor" as his new handle. The first demos with this name are from 1991-08, therefore the name change must have happened around this time, and any/all demos released under the "Sensor" handle must be from 1991 or later.
Between 1991 to 1992, many demos and megademos are released. A lot of them feature digi music. NST participates in
Crackers' Demo 3. The group has a solid scene presence, getting lots of greetings from other demogroups. There's feud with Ratt (see "Megafuck").
By the end of '92, the group is mostly inactive.
Sensor's "final" megademo
Fhenomena II is released in '93, BSZ releases
The 2nd in 1994.
Sensor released three small demos (one in 1998 and two in 2001). BSZ released
Questionmark in 2003. BSZ continued to develop hardware extensions under the NST label, as well as independently released "wild" demos (e.g.
Evo Lution). Around 2019-2021, BSZ drops the NST label entirely, changing the name of his SID card from NAE (NST Audio Extension) to CAE (Commodore Audio Extension).
