| Best shoot em up
So what is the best shooter on the C16/Plus4? Please don't tell me it's shoot-it! Skramble was too slow, so, any suggestions?

i'd agree with most of the above (not as keen on the original Battery as some) and, just because it's fun, add Sanxion to the list.

Some of you might not agree, but I reckon Sword Of Destiny is a great shooter...
If you're trigger happy, like me.

Shoot um up means all things space related where I come from, but because were are mixing and matching all things that fire I'll have some of that.
Dingbat, one of the greatest home arcade style shootys ever. I've never finished it but just lov it!
Timeslip, very unique to C16/Plus4 and a classic gem.
Invasion 2000AD, in my view thee Space Invaders for our system. Not perfect by any means but addictive and great sound.
Myraid, Long before Myraid there was a game in the same sort of style and even some of the enemys on Vic20. I can't remember the name but Myraid was close in the way it played. Lov it and this aswell.
Tazz, maybe a surprise to some being listed but if you want a Robotron/Smash TV style game then take a peek at this. Very good for what it was back in the day!

Super Cobra can't be downloaded here - is there a site where you can get it, or is it denied?

Ah I see now. I just logged out from the edit side of the site and can see the game has copyright issues with Novotrade
Try: c64.rulez.org

BTW... Xargon Wars is also on _my_ alltime toplist... together with Cuthbert in Space, for that matter... This latter one has been the first ever computer game that I've seen and played... and XW has been the first game that I had on tape... :D
