| Writing .d64 from Princess sd2iec to real floppy drive
As topic says. Is there a tool to write .d64 to floppy? Or can i open the .d64 on the Princess and use a copy program to just make a backup to the 1541-ii ? If so, what program would be best for this task ?

Unfortunately I'm away for Christmas so cannot adequately answer your question. I am guessing that it will take a standard copy program tool which you copy to your SD card (someone may point to you a good one), and that the 1541-ii might be configured as device 9?

Yea thats the theory im working with atm. But i also realise i didnt get any cables to actually connect a 1541-ii as a second device when using the serial cable to connect it to the plus4 ... i guess i could plug the Princess into the back of the 1541-ii?

Hmm... Just make sure you follow the proper instructions. There's quite a lot of Do's and Don't's which could fry your Princess (that sounds quite bad lol). Don't take any chances with this device.

Definitely looks interesting! Thanks. I realise that the princess won't fit in the back of the 1541 either however. Ill need to get a male->female serial cable.

I was being silly connection-wise. Obviously i can just connect the 1541-ii as normal and then the princess to the 1541-ii. =) Anyway, that software probably does what i want, but im having a hard time finding out what the path to the .d64 image should be.

Ok that was ALSO not as hard as i thought. The default dir was actually the dir where the d64-it image was. However when i start writing to floppy the drive light goes on, and i hear it starting, and on screen it says "converting, track 1" and then it stops there.

Keep into account that C64SD Princess, like all of the other SD2IEC based projects, does not emulate 100% a REAL 1541 drive. Almost all the copiers are using low level commands and tricks an SD2IEC emulation is not able to work with.

Yes thats the reason i need to write for example demos with trackloaders to a real floppy disk. Surely it must be possible to write a program that writes a d64 to a real 1541? Or rather, there are a few, but i have still not gotten any to work. CBMCommand seemed to write the disk correctly but it crashed wierdly when i tried to load the demo.
