 Flood What? It!

FloodItIf you're going to flood something, let that be the playing field in this game. Okay, enough of the "witty" banter, Csabo has just released another small "toy" game (somewhat similar to 2048) called FloodIt. If you enjoy puzzles and logical games, this might provide you with a nice distraction. The game has a tournament mode, which contains 16 hand-picked levels and is meant for players to compete in our Hall Of Fame. It also features a random level mode for virtually unlimited variety. Check it out and enjoy!

Ahhh I remember this great little game. It's based on an online flash game which I used to play a lot online.

Very nice adaption. Hi-Score submitted. Let the tournament commence happy

 Re: Flood What? It!

Sixteen Plus, it's not based on Drench... I did credit the Flash game it's based on in "credits". I guess you didn't read it? Though I'm sure these are all clones of each other. Anyway, glad you liked it!

Edit: oh, shoot, stop the presses. Looks like I messed something up. The high score you submitted... So the scoring is percent (0-99) if you didn't complete the level and 1000 points + 100 * remaining moves if you did. Seems like you completed a lot of them but your score is only 2000! Probably a bug.

Edit #2: right, the routine that added up the total number was bugged, it didn't add up the thousands. I fixed it and uploaded the new program and source code. So your score is +10000. Sorry about that! I can't believe it happened again...

 Re: Flood What? It!

Apologies Csabo, I've amended my review. I've also amended my note on the hi-score mentioning the score difference in my screenshot. I'll get around to playing it again soon and resubmit my score.

 Re: Flood What? It!

Greetings Again Csabo !

I see you have created yet another classic game for all the community to enjoy grin

Sadly due to limited internet access i am unable to currently download it or compete against the Hall Of Fame. When i get a better permanent connection i will be sure to do such things.
I am hoping you will keep all your games & hall of fame scores on this wonderful site & i can always come back and acess them !!!???

I am hoping also that there has never been major problems with viruses, hackers & spammers & that nothing valuable has ever been or will be lossed from this site.

I've downloaded the new version, gave it another bash and uploaded a new proper hi-score (did a bit better this time around). You may delete the old image file now happy

Nice one Csabo,

Really neat little game and tourny mode is cool. Love the logo, so simple but looks very professional and really sets it off. Liking the colours too. Cheers! happy

Some idea's for a FloodIt Plus.
Timer with bonus score for remaining time.
Once all moves have run out you keep playing till the end but it now minuses score.
Oblido style music playing in the background as you play, last 10 seconds the music plays even faster. happy

 Re: Flood What? It!

Hey Retro76,

(Some off-topic stuff happy) Yeah, Plus/4 World will be here until the end of time happy Well, or as long as we can do it, anyway. We've moved homes once already, so it might happen in the future. Viruses? Nah. Hackers? That did happen once... There was some FTP issue which allowed an attacker to change the PHP files. It affected everyone on the host, so it was nothing specific to our site. People noticed right away and IIRC we took care of it within a day (it was easy to remove the added code). Spam? That's an ongoing thing, but I'd say we have it under control. I used to do it all manually, but eventually gave a [Spam] button to everyone in the community, and the folks here are pretty good at getting rid of it. I sometimes adjust our filters. I just looked: in the last 2 weeks since I checked we caught 639 spams, 14 of which was done manually, the rest automatic.

Anyway, downloading the game should be no problem, it's only 4K! happy Much, much smaller than even one page on this site. So you should be able to get it and play it on your machine. If you have a high score, don't worry about a screenshot, just submit it.

MIK, thanks happy Good ideas!

SixteenPlus, that's a most excellent score, you're pretty good at it. Close to the absolute maximum.
