If the World is too end then some where on the planet they will be 12hr a head or 12hr behind. It could even happen on the 22-12-2012 for some people. 
Buy some batteries just in case it's a big Solar Flare from the Sun that knocks out the electrical grid for a couple of months!
A World ending meteorite would of been spotted already and if it's Volcanic, Earthquake or a Tsunami then I'm sure humans will live another day.
Maybe one of the not so friendly countries is planning to blow up the Moon so it showers back down to Earth and cause mass destruction. If so we already know it took Neil Armstrong and crew 4 days to get there... We just might see the Christmas holidays yet.

The doomsayers have it wrong, the mayan calendar was just there to throw them. The end of the world isn't today 21/12/2012 as the dates don't match up to the year. They do next year on 21/12/2112 but that's not the end of the world either.
The end of the world is on 31/12/3112 when the dates match up to the year for the final time.
So I think we're quite safe for now. You think the doomsayers are paranoid now? Just imagine them running around like headless chickens in 1100 years from now
