Not so crazy for such an official one-off prototype. Especially if it works.
I was following the auction in the last hour via MSN Messenger with admin Chris from the C16 site as he was bidding. I believe he may have won it too had he checked the currency he was bidding in not realising he bidded in US currency and not UK. It's an easy mistake to make. The final price would've at least been $492 in the last 20 seconds, but it also depends on the winning bidders highest bid too, so it possibly may have went for higher. Hope he don't mind me sharing this lol.
I would've looked forward to seeing it at the next meet. One of those things. Hope more interesting stuff like this crop up again someday.
I wonder who the lucky winner is and what his plans for it are?

Sure the is a part of commodore history and also mentioned at the secret weapons of commodore, but in my opinion not worth 405$. Sorry I think its crazy to spend so much money, for a piece of hardware that may not work. I am sure you can rebuild it in a better way (with for example a 8 bit baby), if you have the wiring diagram, but who needs it and who will buy it?
