It's quite possible, apparently it was one of their few titles that was making a profit.
I think Live's problem was that they had way too many PC mags...they had about 4 different ones...

I'm not so sure about that, I got £21 for a copy of RG issue 2 recently, which is a bit daft for a price...
I really do hope someone picks up RG and runs with it...

The silly prices for early issues of RG have long since gone - it was only when Live announced that they had sold out of the first issue that the prices increased and that was for a short time. These days they are a lot cheaper.

Very sad indeed.
It was a magical moment last month to see the "Last Ninja" front cover being displayed in many many shops. To even see it by the door of Virgin Mega Store made it feel like the classic golden days had never died!
Here's a thought, how much is issue ONE worth now (gulp).

Sad news indeed I know it was a multi format retro mag, but certainly was a good read. Just hope some other publishing company picks up the mantel.

| Retro Gamer R.I.P...
Live Publishing, the company that publishes Retro Gamer went into administration on Monday...just weeks after announcing that it would be going down to bi-monthly issues
