 Re: C64 Forever released

Even if "somewhat" based on VICE it should be listed in the emulator section, shouldn't it?

Luca...
Do you have any information about the software that comes with the emu? Maybe they just included C64 stuff anyway.

Has anyone tried the "free" version?

 Re: C64 Forever released

Though I am not an emulator-type of person, I do have Amiga Forever (older CD and newer DVD versions), and for what it does, it is excellent.

 Re: C64 Forever released

In fact I saw the Cloanto AMiga version, and I was not too happy with that.
eg AIAB package (Amiga In A Box) was much more useable...

There are some other packages, in fact I am dreaming of a similar package for Plus/4, I mean I will do it with the help of Astonshell... just I am too lazy, as you know... happy

 Re: C64 Forever released

I've had a few discussions with the developers of this software and they assured me they will not be putting software into the program without permission first. Also it would be much better using a different emulator like Yape. I understand what they are trying to achieve but they have to do it the right way.

I was given a beta of the software to test, and its rather good. Shame its Windows only, as I use OSX and Linux mainly. In my eyes its more useful as a tool to import into for your personal collections and having one program for all. The cost, well it needs justification. Time will tell though.

Yeah I'm with Luca. Asking payment for your own work is fair enough, but to promote it with other peoples work that is free to download on the web is wrong!

 Re: C64 Forever released

Don't like this, imho, especially if running on an incomplete emulator like VICE xplus4.
I asked for the C16/Plus4 programs list, hope they didn't rerelased freeware stuff under payment.

 C64 Forever released

Cloanto has released C64 Forever, "a revolutionary preservation, emulation and support package". Similar in nature to Cloanto's
best-selling Amiga Forever package, C64 Forever runs on the PC and provides an emulation of the C64, PET, VIC-20, Plus4, and C128; a database of thousands of games, 200 games and demos, and historical facts and photos. C64 Forever is priced at $19.95 for the downloadable version and $24.95 for the boxed version.

For more information, go to

http://www.c64forever.com

C64 Forever information is also available on Facebook and Twitter.
