Thank you for the reply. I've tried the "cbminst --remove" or "cbminst --check" but system gives me error messages saying that the file was not found! Furthermore, if I type "cmd" from Run menu of WinXP, it only loads as resident, the module cmd.exe WITHOUT to open the edit window.

  Hi mate,
I have seen this happen quite alot. Have you tried the following commands?
Type "cd exe" Type "instcbm --check"
  or
Type "cd exe" Type "instcbm --update"
  or
Type "instcbm --remove" Then reinstall it.
I find one of these commands gets the program working with the Commodore drive.
  Regards,
  Chris

   |   Cbm4Win problem (help me!)
After some months, I tried to transfer files to a CBM drive, but it nomore works! In the last weekend I tried hundreds of attempts, without success. I did change the drive, I connected the Plus4 to the serial chain too, in order to reset the line without to use the [reset] function of Cbm4win, but noway ( In brief the PC utility never "see" the connected drive, even if it is reset by the PC boot (then the connection is good).
Since my current projects need to use a real Plus4, I'm stopped by this problem. Then I ask you, my friends, to help me, with your suggestions and tips. My system is a P3000 with XP SP2. I noticed odd behaviors of "cmd" and "command" keyword on the PC.
  TIA
