On the computer's side, Port Turbo V1.0 and Port-Backup V1.1 requires a custom i8255 based expansion card for parallel connectivity (See 8255 Interface). This card was published in Rádiótechnika, issue 1988/12, pages 623-625. Port-Backup V1.5 expects parallel connectivity on standard User Port.
Despite being part of the HX-256 memory expansion bundle, the utilities don't appear to use a 256K memory expansion schema at all. |
