| Author's Comments | Game features, compared to the original:
- The game has time countdown in fight modes. - The energy bar not rising, but decreasing if you get tired. - Not just one precise point exist, where you can hit your enemy. - The fighter on the right side is not in the background all the time. - DANCE DUEL mode! - The screen shakes when a punch hits the opponent. - Plus4 colors are used everywhere (except Victory message). - The bottom scrolling landscape is my PETSCII work. - The menu is modified. - Game over screen is modified. - All code and GFX recreated by me. I don't have the original game in any form. I recreated Monstro Giganto from one gameplay video on the YouTube. I remember someone commenting here at Plus4World, that "This game cannot be converted to Plus 4." I'm not sure if it can, but it can be re-created for sure :D
This is the Arok 2022 version. I want to finish the game with the other fighters, add announcer voice, add instructions and origin tales like in the original. (Seeking help for this tasks!)
UP: Now, after the party, one of the makers of the original game (Antonio Savona) send me a honorary copy, so now I have the OG MG. :) And maybe Lobo will help me to finish this game!

| Controls | In first person game, use Joy 1 to control.
(Controls are also on the main screen scroller.) Left, Right: Move Down: Defend
Attacks: Fire+Up: Headbutt Fire+Down: Uppercut Fire+Forward: Punches
You will lose energy (red bar) when you are in defense, or escaping from the opponent (like you go backward beyond screen edge. In this case, the bottom screen is scrolling too!), or if you attack. If you defend yourself, or escaping, it have the least energy loss. If you punch, you loose more energy. Headbutt loses even more, and uppercut is the most exhausting move. But with more exhausting comes more hitpoint, too, so if you hit the opponent with an uppercut he loses much more life energy, than from a punch, or headbutt. The A.I. have a Combo Breaker. If you hit the A.I., sometimes he reacts with a special dual punch, and you can't do anything about it! It doesn't have any visual indication, you just can't move until it happening, so calculate with this!
In AI mode, you will play all 3 rounds!
In Dance Mode: You must copy exactly the A.I.'s movement! You can't go left or right, just copy the movements, or do something completely different. :) (That's bad. You will lose!) The program gives you easy or hard mode randomly. In hard mode, you must speed up yourself a bit. If your score is 100 or above, you win, but the final goal is to reach the perfect score. The perfect score is 160 at easy, and 220 in hard mode.
When the A.I. makes a move, you have got one movement of time to react.
If you get "Awesome!" ranking for your move, that's indicating the perfect timing. In Easy Mode, the perfect means one point plus, every other cyan message means 0 point, every red (error) message means -2 points. In Hard Mode, Awesome means 2 plus points, every other cyan message means -2, every red means -4 points!
ESC exits from any mode, if you no longer want to play. |
