| Author's Comments | (paraphrased from an email) I did write this program, but it was over 40 years ago, so I don't remember anything about the code. I no longer own any of the CBM stuff, it's long gone and replaced with modern tools.
I did write another program back then (in the early 80's) called Utility Wedge (for the C=64). I originally uploaded it to CompuServe as a free program, and eventually sold the rights to it to an outfit named Sharedata. They put it on a cartridge and sold it through various retailers like Gemco. (I think both of those companies are gone now.) It was a program which contained many useful functions not provided in the original CBM firmware. It was written in assembly language and the code was loaded into RAM not normally used for programs (located under one of the ROM addresses). Beauty of it was that the user would not notice any reduction in space for programs to load. That's about all I remember about it. |
