----------------- --- ALPHA MAN --- -----------------
Code: (private) (KWAYNE) Original by: William Soleau
This is a Commodore Plus/4 conversion of Soleau Software's shareware MS-DOS game, originally developed by William Soleau in 1992.
In this game you control Alpha Man on a 11x7 grid where the object is to push blue blocks with letters on them over tiles marked with the same letter. Sounds like a very simple task, but the actual solution of each puzzle in this game can prove to be very challenging. (Part of the reason why I chose to make this conversion.)
This game offers the same 25 word puzzles as the shareware version of Soleau's Alpha Man, and the option to save and load your scores as long as there's a floppy disk in drive 8.
Load the game using the command LOAD"*",8,1 then run it with RUN
The game is controlled entirely through the JOY 1 port.
For accessing the INFO/LOAD/SAVE options in the Main Menu, pull the joystick left.
After selecting a puzzle, use the directions to move Alpha Man, and use the fire button to access the TAKE BACK/REPLY/QUIT options.
