Yes I was - I've already thought about converting other chips and come to the conclusion that it would have to be a 6502 (well, 6502A for 2MHz) with a lot of external hardware, and eventually gave up on the idea. Marko, I tried looking through Jameco's online catalogue and couldn't find anything by MOS or CSG. Where did the NTSC VIC-Is and VIC-IIes come from?
Also, are the any semiconductor distributors in Hungary who might have
8501s?
Richard.
