Hey guys...
I think you're worrying way too much. Sure, if the snapshot should
"reactivate" even the niftiest demos you're absolutely right. However,
who wants to freeze a demo? Well, if the scrolly is extremely long you might wanna do so :) (Reminds me of SHARE's "converted" C64 scroll texts... Do you know the BOM Megademo from 1991?) Consider this: There's been a tape game "freezer" around for years. This tool "freezes" games after loading and running for a while. I don't remember exactly what it did `cause I "cracked" games the real way :) Still, back then nobody gave a f... about $ff1e and stuff and it worked just fine. The "frozen" games where about 65 blocks. So I assume it's basically a little routine which sets up the zeropage and everything after (It's a 16KB game freezer). When I couldn't get an original or a real copy of game I kept the frozen one...
And all of them work OK. Does anyone remember this tool?
