Read the "64doc" file more carefully. The question is answered there. It was fairly easy to determine this by writing a test program that contained a SEI instruction near the spot where the interrupt was triggered. Yes,
it is possible that the interrupt sequence starts right after the processor has executed a SEI instruction.
