History | This is a work in progress. Feel free to edit it, but please cite your sources.
1989: The group is formed by Toti and TYB, who met at a mutual friend in the buiding where TYB lived, and decided to form a demo group. The name of the group was chosen simply because Fine Young Cannibals was a popular band.
1989: SJP joins soon after group forming.
1990-02: Macot Demo (meant to be Mascot demo) is the first release of the group, made by Toti and TYB. TYB was particularly proud of the BMW drawing.
1990-??: 3M Demo 1 lists the Toti, TYB and SJP as members.
1990-??: ACS joins (multiple members confirmed that he joined later than SJP, as the 4th member)
1990-06: The FYC part of Cracker's Demo is dated 1990-06, and the members are ACS, Toti, TYB and SJP.
1990-07: The first issue of Byte Times lists FYC as a group and Toti and TYB as members (not an exhaustive list, they are just mentioned). Therefore the formation date is definitely before this. Same for the first issue of Terror News (1990-08).
1990-12: According to Heil Sperma, the members are ACS, Toti and TYB.
1990-12: Toti and TYB leave for C64, they join the group FACES.
1991(?): Ratt joins
1991-06: According to Zeuz Interceptor and Gamers Guide 01, members are ACS, ATX, Ratt, SJP.
1992: "Ratt-era": the group has 5 members: ACS (code), SJP (code), Ratt (code), ATX (code), HCH (code). This formation is listed in Synergy and Impulse and Byte Times 4. In Synergy, there's a call for musicians and graphicians to join. Interestingly, Ratt does not know HCH's mailing address.
1992-05: SJP leaves the group, announced in Sun For Fun.
1992-10: Ratt and ATX (who appear to be the last two members of the group) announce that they are leaving in Caprix Dreams. [ edit ] |
