Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse
The computers were turned off, their monitors bare
The programmers have stopped pulling out their own hair
Santa let himself in through the front door
He didn't dare drop his gifts on the floor
Several new disk drives, still packed in their foam
And some floppies to format, have found a new home
Cookies and milk, Santa thought, I've had much
But safer than ale... tonight I can't touch
Many houses to go, and the minutes so few
I'll take them "to go", I have too much to do
They will like "Tom Thumb", they will play it all day
With that Santa made his way back up to the sleigh
He flew off in the dark, Rudolph's nose shining bright
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night
