| X1538 cable question
This was a great buy, and I love using it to make my own turboloads. But... how could I use this with a laptop? If you've used one of these, you will know that it has a 25 pin parallel port connector as well as a 15 pin connector. My standard desktop PC has both these sockets at the back, but my laptop only has the 25-pin socket. The 15 pin one isn't there. Does that mean that the cable can't be used with my laptop, or is there some way round this?

I of course meant to call it the X1531 cable.

No chance, most laptops I know do not have the analogue joystick adapter input anymore. Well it's actually better to convert tapes to WAV first anyway

I have a USB-gameport adaptor that I got with a gamepad, I use that with my laptop and X1531 cable without any problems, as the gameport connector is only used to supply power to the datasette

Brilliant! Is it easy to pick up one of these adaptors nowadays on their own? Are they common? I want one of these.
