 Sound on Minus4

With my 1.6.2 version of Minus4 emulator, I can have only good emulation for voice 1 and 2.
Voice 3 instead (white noise) is emulated with a 'soundblaster' CHORD.
Not so good in gaming. Think: and explosion is performed with a guitar sound! :(|

Anybody have the same problem?

 TED Sound

Okay.. so this is from BASIC then..
TED sound only has 2 channels, but channel 2 can be noise OR tone.

as far as Im aware ADLIB doesn't allow a frequency for its noise, this is one of the reasons I wanted to move to samples.

I did have a sample version, but it didn't sound very nice... The windows version (when I finish it!) will get round this problem

Sorry... The FM based ADLIB card is crap, and it simply doesn't do good noise...

 Further info

10Q 4 your reply.
Mmmhh I know my english is not so good ~:)

In other hands, when Minus4 has to perform a sound with voice #3 (noise) I have a kind of cymbals (flats of musical drums). This sound is the same also if freq of voice 3 is modified.

I tried many times and I always had the same results. (Also by inserting '-s' option in the Minus4 line command).

At end: I have a PCI64 Soundblaster.
All other sounds are very good quality, but I didn't check SID-type sound: only TED-type one.

At disposal 4 any other info,

 Re: Sound

Im not sure what you mean.. Do you mean sound using the "TED" or SID emulation?

TED sound uses ADLIB, SID uses soundblaster and samples. I did have ted noise comming from the soundblaster but it didn't sound quite right...

SID sound should be okay, but I do remember sampling the noise at the wrong freq... and it seems to have a noticable "click" to it...

Due to work time constraints, I've not had a chance to do anything... But if you can give me a bit more detail, I'll add it to my list..
