| Intro categories on our anniversary party!
Well, hopefully there will be a 20 years anniversary party this year probably organized by Lavina of Gotu. There will be a demo compo and ofcourse we need some intro compo too. But what categories should be? Alternatives:
- 1 block intro compo (252 bytes) - 256 bytes intro compo - 1024 bytes intro compo - 4096 bytes intro compo - Onefiler compo
These all have traditions in the demoscene, but 5 categories are too much! Please tell your opinion, chose two of them or write down your own idea here! This will help the organizers work...

1 block and 256 byte are almost the same, that one gets my vote. The other one would be 1K intros. Anything larger than that will take too much time = possibly less entries...

1k and 4k should be ok.

I opt for 256 byte, 1k, one file and demo (max. 2 sides).
Don't forget: we agreed on that every program should start simply by typing RUN and return.

Hmmmm.... Seems like I misunderstood something... Bubis, you asked "intro categories" in the topic title. IMHO "onefiler" isn't an "intro category". So, did you ask 2 categories including, or above onefilers?
Anyway, I agree with Rachy (1 disk and 1 file demos, + intros of either size; I'd opt for 4k instead of 1k, but don't take it too serious; be it better decided by people who in fact _do_ code 256b, 1k or 4k's =) ).
I'm kind of concerned that nobody will code full disk demos =), but I'm not sure. Someone probably could, I'd be happy to see it . I'd keep onefiler demos as category, since they don't impose any extra limitations (beyond the machine itself, of course) and they're not that hard to produce. Below that, I really don't care about the actual limitation factor =).

If the scene is too lazy we can "skip" the anniversary megademo, instead we could release all party stuff on one disk as a compilation for the anniversary.

Mmmh Lavina, I think that anybody of us has 1 single part that can be finished and included in a coopmegademo. Yes, I'm a deceived rotten optimist

TLC: including. And yes, that is probably not an intro category but many ppl mentioned it as a possible compo category...
