 | Fast save I / 64kb filename in Petscii
In the early days I used Fast Save I a lot for speedsaving games on tape.

Doing it over (wich is fun!), is giving me trouble: the saved filename is unreadable, in Petscii signs.

What happened with Fast Save I?

For what I remember, Fast Save version I always shows that particular flaw in the FOUND filename, if you see the image gallery in the page you can cleary spot it.

@Luca yes I noticed. But I am pretty sure that back in the 80ties my Fast Save version didn't had this flaw.

@Retroshire I read "somewhere else" that you've find the solution: Fast Save works basically on C16 only.

The paradox is that even Fast Save 64K shows a correct filename only if used on an unexpanded C16, am I right?

@Luca that's right, unfortunately. Back in the 80's I had my C16 unexpanded for quit a long time. When having my C16 expanded with a mega +64kb, at the same time I got a 1551. So I did not notice the difference, while I did not use the datasette anymore.

In the end only Fastsave II & III are usable for recording .prg on tape with fastloading options.
