..huh  sad to hear that the guy died - i like this SD1541/2 from him
2 years ago i wrote to gideon about connecting a U64 and an other machine like c16 or plus/4 via IEC - cable to use the internal emulation of U64 for other machines
he wrote back that's a nice idea but not about risks of destroying any hardware
it's still an idea in my head  - but i don't dare to try
