|  Football Manager Plus/4 Enhanced!
 Football Manager on the C=64 by Kevin Toms is fondly remembered as an enjoyable management game, a great release for its time. Unfortunately (but not unsurprisingly), the C16 release we had was a pared down version. JimmyCoupe is back to rectify this with Football Manager Plus/4 Enhanced!
- All new UI and game flow
- Full team editor, with ability to edit player names
- Teams increased from 32 to 64, season league games increased from 14 to 30
- Access the transfer market, squad from the menu
- Extra training feature added
- F.A. Cup victory screen added
and many, many more improvements. If you enjoy these type of management games, definitely give this one a try!

Here's a more detailed list of changes:
All new UI and game flow
Full team editor

Ability to pay back a loan
Extra training feature added
F.A. Cup victory screen added
Title loading screen added
Ability to turn off the audio to speed up games
Squad can now be changed from the menu
You can no longer sell the entire team, you can only sell with more than 11 players
Improved weekly bills information
Save and load error control functionality now added to the game
Improved manager stats, now tracks f.a. cup wins, league promotions and relegations
Added the ability to alter the game level from the options menu
I hope some of you will give it a shot, JimmyCoupe really did add a lot of polish

Many thanks Csabo, your help in my project was really appreciated. I had a ton of fun doing this and with your guidance in code and the beautiful cbm prg studio I feel I have learnt so much that will help me in my future project ideas.
The plus/4 really lacked in this genre back in the day which was a shame as it was an ideal platform for the genre with its extra basic memory over the C64 which got a ton of these games that made me very jealous when I was young.
I do still love seeing the (plus/4 enhanced) text, when I was young seeing that on a game box was the thing of dreams. Long may it continue to excite the generations lol

Had a run on this conversion, coz' I boast a soft spot for football managing games (for whichever managing game, to say the truth!), and in the same time I both appreciate the linearity and hate the lack of a match clock into the classic Football Manager.

Thanks Luca but it is actually my second, hard to keep up with me at the moment lol.
Fair comment Luca but Football Manager was the first so it doesn't need a tick. The others got ticks as the first one didnt. Jokes a side FM was an important chapter in gaming tick or no tick. I was considering adding the tick but decided against it in the spirit on FM .

Great, thanks Jimmy for this enhanced version . No graphic highlights though, IMVHO one of the plusses in the 64 version. May I hope to see them implemented any time in the future?

Maybe one day. I don't have the technical skill yet and maybe never but you bet when I do I will be here to clean up what needs to be done . I honestly wanted to implement the Spectrum highlight graphics in this release, Csabo said they were more than possible from basic but it just isn't to be.
I am still waiting for someone with the mega skills to fix the rotten Footballer of the Year plus4 enhanced edition but to this day no one has. How the f*** did we end up with a Footballer of the Year enhanced edition with no match, god dam you Gremlin and the cheap skate boat you sailed in on lol. They had the technical skills and yet choice to rip us all off.

Luca, that made me smile, not seen that in a while. Correct the game I believe came from this but the plus/4 version of Footballer of the Year was my biggest disappointment in my youth. I had just popped into town with my Christmas money back in 1986 as I had learnt there was a plus/4 enhanced version on side B of the cassette, what could possibly go wrong. On the bus home I soon learnt from the enclosed documentation that this wasn't the enhanced version I was hoping for. Even the MSX got the match graphics.
