And no, this isn't anything to do with the original name that became GWNN either...
So having had a peek at the Mastertronic fan club newsletter, Tronix (issue 1) available here:

Looking at a catalogue of games half way down, and it mentions Challenger for the C16 and Plus/4 with catalogue number 2C 0044. The C64 version (IC 0044, so same catalogue number at the end) is a Blitz / City Bomber type game which could have easily made it into 16K. GigerPunk plays the C64 version here:

As that game was released late 1984, it'd make sense that it was coming soon for the C16 and Plus/4 in 1985ish.
One of the other catalogues also mentions the previously mentioned game that wasn't Rapid Fire also.
