| Real C64C/Plus4: real disks or make-shift disks?
Hi! I have both a real C64C and Plus4 at my mother's house. They share a 1541 drive, a 1541-II drive and a monitor. They're currently not hooked up. I also have a Zoomfloppy to create disks of disk images. I have some usable disks, but the Zoomfloppy is missing. Once everything is set up, which would be better: purchase the real games on the real disks, or download the program files and disk images and create the disks myself? I prefer the games' original intro screens over the cracked ones and don't use the trainers.

Seems you are our of luck buying new games on floppy discs, the fresh supply of this media dried out.
You can buy them on SD card or electronic downloadable version, and with zoomfloppy you can create your own floppy version.
It is possible to buy 5.25" DD NOS discs, but the prices became really high. If you buy used floppy discs, you risk getting bad quality discs. They can make dirty or damage your floppy drive head. (I can't imagine how much my NOS Verbatim DS QD discs I bought for my SFD-1001 6 years ago may cost today. LOL)

MMS, I thank you for your input. It is okay to me to make out my own floppies. I just wanted to know which is better and which I should do.
