Are the music note settings in the Programmers Reference Manual correct?

Luca has long complained about my atrocious music. So I took a look at my music routines and played the notes 1 by 1 and realised that they are completely wrong in places.

The problem is I don't know what they should be as I have taken them from the plus/4 programmers reference guide.

Is there an issue with these? I tried searching for a post but every time it came back with nothing.

Yeah, you are absolutely right. I tried to make a J.S.Bach music few years ago based on that FRQ table, and it is really off.

I suggest to use SVS Ultimate Map's FRQ table, it is more correct, though I think the steps between the notes as not realy precise by the TED AFAIS. I suppose the divident is not well defined in the TED, but it is my non-professional opinion (I am not a musician)

(and sorry for the critics received... We badly need more musicians on this platform)

@Stinaris: You wrote that you tried searching for a post but every time it came back with nothing. That's strange. I tried to search for frequency in the forum and that gave me quite at the front of the hits the Exact TED Frequency a for music beginners : - ) topic here: https://plus4world.powweb.com/forum/28201.

And I second MMS. The Ultimate Map made by SVS is an excellent source on all things C16 and Plus/4.

Yeah the manual while fine for messing about with was way out of tune lol, you have to transpose a real keyboard around 5 or 6 notes to match the notes from the manual.

Oooh wait, wait a moment @Stinaris: did I actually COMPLAIN about your music by defining it ATROCIOUS? :O Really? Did I?
I suggested to check your frequencies per note into your player to better match'em, and you asked for those hints! You've described me as a horrible monster with sone rude manners! grin What the... I've driven my car to reach my parents for the holidays and when I finally come back here I find this? Ahahah! grin
