Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show Mr. Micro's Commodore 16 Advent Show (Italian language): every day at 10:30 CET till Xmas, 24+1 reviews'n'play of selected C16/Plus4 games.
Re: Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show MMS thank you, Max the author of this Advent Show would be proud of your kind words! Believe me, this is a slow start as appetizer, the best is yet to come
Actually, having all the codes for the videos, I could simply throw'em here with a single move and they will appear as available one after one day by day, but I started to add them one a day, and I'm gonna continue this way at this point...
Re: Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show Dear MMS, thank you for the compliments, which are always greatly appreciated! As Luca mentioned, the best is yet to come, so I invite you to check out the upcoming videos and, if you'd like, share them and subscribe to the channel. Thanks again for the support!!!
Re: Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show A whole year is passing without you, my friend. We talked about you to anybody who came in contact with your work, and all that noise generates memories like this.
Re: Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show I still think of Skoro often. It's still hard to comprehend he passed away this year. What a loss
I wish I understood what he's saying in the videos! As it is, it's nothing more than a novelty, although occasionally it's pretty funny watching him play and mutter unintelligible stuff under his breath
Re: Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show @Csabo Ah, I know it's not easy to understand what I'm saying in Italian, and I'm sorry. Sooner or later, I have to make up my mind to give up on videos in this language and switch to English.
Re: Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show @Csabo: I tried turning on auto-translation on the auto-generated closed captions. Obviously, it is not perfect but helps understanding what's happening in the video most of the times.
Re: Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show Duh - you're right gerliczer, that does work. Also, we're guilty of this too, so I feel your pain (A while back while Chronos was putting out videos for Let's Play, I did a guest spot on one of them - all in unintelligible Hungarian of course.)
Re: Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show I wanted to say this is really cool but didn't want to spoil things knowing more would be added... Thanks to MMS, now I can! This is really cool.
Re: Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show Thank you for the nice new ones! I really enjoyed watching these classic gems.
Please keep the Italian language, I have no problem with the auto translated English. Somehow this sounds more fluid and natural, that when I speak in English and sometimes I should look for the right words. I checked C64 Hunchback, and seems Punchy was a much harder copy of that game. I hated it so much when I was a kid, I had no real success with that game.
Bridgehead: it is a kind of funny game. Maybe the task is to collect as much follower as you can :-) On the second stage those small tanks :-) Maybe they were out of free characters.
Re: Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show Max Thank you for your kind words! I wanted to express my gratitude for the great show and a lot of hours of fun you provided. The starting of the shows looked so epic, and out of this world, I wanted to recreate the scene.
The release is here with some small further finetunings, but certainly a much smaller work than your great shows. Best to be checked in YAPE with CRT emulation. Certainly because it looks the most retro in this way :-) https://plus4world.powweb.com/software/Mr_Micro_presents
PS with ECM I could add more details, but on Plus/4 unfortunartely I still no not master this format. So only black holes on the sky, no stars :-)
Re: Mr. Micro Commodore 16 Advent Show Alpharay is a great achievement on this platform. I think it plays and looks better than the highly anticipated R-Type on ZX Spectrum (also have no HW sprites), though the hardware scrolling and the multicolor gfx mode were real an advantages on Plus/4 side. R-Type could have a little more on weapon development and the huge and crazy looking bosses, but sometimes it was really hard to follow what happens on the screen. Not in the case of Alpharay.
