|  Function 2023 demoparty (sept 8-10)
The biggest Hungarian demo party, Function is coming. It's a multiplatform party, but the 8-bit scene is also very active here. Last year 11 oldskool demos were released.
Date: 8-10 Sept (less than 2 weeks)
Location: Budapest

I know of 3 planned plus/4 releases, and about 7-8 plus/4 sceners have already said privately that they are coming.

Are you guys thinking about the "Oldschool graphics" compo? Let's see... at least 3 phases of the creation process, no animations, scrolling or AI, remote entries allowed. Seems doable

Yeah, you forgot they need a FILE_ID.DIZ and need a compressed file to be received. What a challange! 
Sure thing it will be olschool gfx, what else, I am bad at programming and have no ear for creating music
I had something in my mind, but due to lack of time I used the good old crosstool .Markku Reunanen. PETSCII editor, and not the native ECM editor created by Luca (I need some practice in that).
I wanted to make a nice ECM picture with PETSCII charset (we have very few ECM pictures on this platform)
ECM could have been a little higher quality than PETSCII, but the PETCII was almost just enough with our palette.

Now Unreal has live painting (that Panda of Function Party 2023).
When he made the first save in PS, first he wrote for the filename "ted", then deleted it and became "fp23"
Update: Compo started with mine. :-) There were a lot of great releases, though is some cases my daugther suspected some AI impact.
She has pretty good eyes to notice them (she also created a lot of pictures with Bing AI), she showed the details to prove this. If true, then this is sad...
Update2: yeah, I noticed the mistake. Despite I created the final version with black border color, I sent the previous version to the Compo with the default purple border.
Well, the result of midnight work... Anyhow, there were so much good Amiga pictures that this little difference does not make a real difference :-)
I uploaded here the real final version with the black border color.

It was a great party!
Unfortunately we forgot to take a group photo, even though Tiger, Foolman and Hermit were there, who missed from the last photo at Árok.

The soundbox is really impressive work of art and collaboration
@MMS Your pic deserved 1st place, Sorry that i could not compete this year. I had no time to put in a tune to a possible entry.
