Hello everyone,
I got a modified .prg of a plus4 game
which I translated in Italian,
I'm able to play the prg only on yape.
Is anyone able to make a tap file so
I might open it with other emulators?
my goal is to play with vice on retropie.
I tried all versions available on the website
but I couldn't open one.

You want Novamaker! It does exactly what you're asking: converts a .PRG file into a .TAP file with ease.

Hello there,
how you doing,
you helped me making the prg couple of years ago.
I found it in an old hard disk and I put it on my retropie,
but the prg doesn't work.
I tried novamaker but I don't know how to set it
if I leave ad default then the tap doesn't start

Yeah, the old way we discussed still works as well, but Novamaker is easier.
Which game are you trying to convert?

the game is the same, ghost town,
there is the italian version as wellas Gospel
but the game doesn't start on vice or yape
so I,m using my old file gospel_g3AB3,
can I send it to you so you can see if is possible?

Samblu: Gospel è già salvato come file .TAP! Unzippalo e caricalo come un qualsiasi file .TAP!

mi si apre sul pc con piu' gli emulatori
ma non riesco a farla funzionare sul retropie,
Su Retropie uso vice e yape e riesco ad aprire altri giochi (.tap)

non ci credo XD ho riprovato, arriva alla schermata principale del gioco caricato,
adesso devo settare sound e controller
probabilmente ho fatto confusione con i files l'ho riscaricato

can't believe XD tried again, it reaches the loaded game's main screen,
now have to set sound and controller
possibly I mixed up files I've download it again

comunque mi sono confuso, sul retropie i giochi si caricano,
avevo provato solamente vice sul PC,
su retropie si apre come altri ma non riesco a settare il controller
e anche qualche settaggio audio.
smanetto un po'...

anyway it's been my mistake, on retropie the games load,
I've tested it on PC vice only,
on retropie it opens as others but I'm not abl to set the controller
and some audio setting too.
gonna handle it a bit...

ciao Luca, ho fatto progressi...
ho settato audio e controller, ho provato alcuni giochi e tutto funziona
se carico gospel.tap arrivo alla schermata iniziale
schiaccio pulsanti direzioni e arriva alla schermata dove spiega delle 19 stanze
a questo punto sono costretto ad usare la tastiera per premere shift che mi fa partire il gioco
2 problemi ora
1 non riesco ad assegnare shift ad un tasto del controller
2 se faccio partire il gioco premendo shift da tastiera
il gioco parte ma non riesco a controllare il personaggio
ne con la tastiera ne con il controller.
suggerimenti?

Eh boh, non so come si settino gli emulatori in Retropie, immagino anche tu lo sappia fare su PC usando VICE (non usare VICE per il Plus/4!) o YAPE, chiedo venia  Però mi sembra strano tu non trovi una soluzione, dato che mi è bastato chiederlo a Google, ed i forum di Retropie e non sono pieni zeppi delle risposte a questa domanda...

prima di chiedere a te ho spulciato tutti i forum retropie,
non trovavo riscontro al mio problema,
in ogni caso ho risolto ho settato vice
il controller funziona posso usare sia il dpad che entrambi gli analogici
sono soddisfatto XD
