| Bucket Wars port?
There's a recent game for the C64 and C128 called Bucket Wars (https://csdb.dk/release/?id=188278). It looks like something that could be ported to our machines without too much hassle. I asked Luca to contact the author with the idea of converting it. The response was that he (Oziphantom - https://csdb.dk/scener/?id=26854) needs more feedback and real demand, and people should contact him regarding this at forum64 and lemon. If people having accounts at the previously mentioned places are interested in a new strategic game for the 264 series, please raise your voices there.

I've just got an oziphatomic juicy test preview, and I see in my crystal ball that somebody will come here within these next hours or less, in order to leave a free download link
EDIT: ok, Oziphantom invites the many of you to have a deep testing to this Plus/4 preview of Bucket Wars. Please write you reports here following this thread. Happy bucketbattling!

I played one quick round just now. The machine defeated me swiftly but so far it looks OK.

Ok had a first try on real iron: - is maybe missing the last text row at the titlescreen? - had three plays: the first time the game stucked after I picked up an army, the second time everything's gone ok and I've been defeated, I restarted a third match but it stucked it again Ok, there's some bug in the "selected piece" routine"... - if you click on a piece of your army, even just in order to see data, once you leave the data sheet the piece is considered as off for this turn.
EDIT: wait, wait a moment, the game crashes were probably occured due to a failing 8501! Played with a new machine, and anything is gone ok...oh and I won!

I have requested some minor changes/fixes on the game so you can expect a new version soon.

It crashed in a particular circumstance just at the first play of the official release, so I'm gonna wait the release of a forthcoming version to cast my vote.

+4 1.3.1 - I've fixed the text on the title screen so you get all 5 rows and Black is Black - Added SID file, so if you have the SID card enabled, you can hear the music as well
