In my humble opinion we are getting heavily off topic here! Why? Well, the SID-Card this thread is all about, is a product enhancing a plus/4. This is what it should do: Enable the SID-Sound in the 64KB-plus/4-Demos and -games and - perhaps in the future - bring us some mouse-enabled conversions.
It is not mentioned to be plugged into a C16. I remember the old days when the Kingsoft-TurboPlus-cartridge fried my C16 processor not only once. Later on, used with a plus/4, all was fine. The same will happen when you try the SID-Card with the C16 and want to plug all the other expansions to this machine to: CPU and TED will fry!
I think, if you want to bring a C16 to the maximum (RAM, Sound, whatever) you are wrong with a SID-Card because there is another, project aiming exactly to this. Here is where you find the development of an enhanced C16-board (and it might get the more RAM, the SID-socket and all the protection-circuits to make that all together work in an old C16-housing):
