My first proposal: You can glue Heat-sink to CPU (7501/8501) with Super Glue. Of course its size is very important, because you have to put the keyboard back. In general, the CPUs die of overheating! This idea applies to SID IC-s (6581-8580), too.
The TED IC is already cooled manufactured with electric shading.
