Just watched the compo pics on C64. IMO your pic standsout all other top ones. Even the palette choices seem to be extremely optimal for C64. The other top creators may have more C64 fame, though..  Or maybe they are more near to the compos original picture..

BTW, all the times I add attributes to the DFLI pictures pretending they're 320xsomething big, but the truth is that the usual format is 304 active pixels wide!

I wanted to let you know about my new picture mede for C+4 (based on C64 one again) but I can see it's already here on Plus4World. Thanks for this!
Iron Maiden Unfinished

The interesting part might be that the C+4 version is a bit bigger (160x248 vs 160x200) than the C64 one.

I have to tell, compared to the limited palette, the C64 version also look stunning. Your color mixing method is out of this world
Thank you for creating our version of Eddie, the +4 version has a different mood due to the different color scheme. Somehow it is more menacing, if you understand what I mean.

On his blog, carrion marked the finished/unfinished area on this picture. Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic looking pic, but one can definitely see that the left side is a bit more plain than the rest.

I've not seen the original but to me at a glance as I never questioned it first time around... the left side of the lightning looks to be behind the head, more distant in the background so you would not necessary see the glow lol?

Thanks for the explanation, I had overlooked it.
Although I beg to differ on the pharaoh being a feature that much prominent.
I like the glaring ball as much, and I think the spiral galaxy on the top left provides a nice open background.
After all the pharaoh is just the face of an old ugly guy.

It's always fascinating how audience experiences the art and how they see thing in the image somehow different that even the author planned.

Oops.. Having followed the whole coding and painting process since the C64 versions of both, I've automatically added the names used since the origins.
Check the entries and feel free to modify names, filenames or else.

The names are OK. I would just change a description a bit. The C64 version is 160x272 not 248. But that's just the minor thing TBH

and ofcoz you are right that this mode allows 284 in total on c64 but I guess it's only 272 visible.
all in all top-bottom borders are utilized on both C= machines

Love the head flying over the city, has a Matrix movie feel about it and the colors are awesome!
As for the fairy, not as good as the ones from the game Stormlord, (C64/Amiga/Megadrive).
