| Commodore Plus 4 Keyboard
Hi, I managed to recover a Commodore Plus 4, I tried it and it seems perfectly functional, but it was really dirty and I cleaned it. During the cleaning phases I removed every single key from the keyboard and cleaned it. Then reassembling everything, I realized that 13 of the 67 keys had the internal plastic interlock (from key internal side) broken and I can no longer reassemble it. I would like to know if there is a way to recover broken keys or repair them.
Thank you G.

Can you post a pic showing what way they are broken as they are usually quite robust?
Spare keyboards for +4's come up on ebay occasionally, or buy a known broken one and salvage the plungers.

When you reply, there is a link to the "new site Uploader", but that may be only useable if you're registered.
Assuming your username is also your email, I'll PM you.

Yes, I saw the email and uploaded the picture for you.
I think any attempt to repair would not be satisfactory. I have a couple of trashed keyboards which are missing various keys. Can you list which ones are broken and I can see if I have spare caps. Some may be a bit yellowed but it would at least get you a fully working keyboard.

actually I would be very surprised, if the glueing would be impossible. a two component epoxy with external support could do the job. BTW there was an interesting project to make for C64 lego based keys, as some of the elements perfectly fit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UX-gqylYgQ
