An afterthought: Has anyone tried to contact Bil Herd and mention the game? He seems reasonably active in the retrocomputing community and I remember some of his videos talking about the history/legacy of the Plus/4. I know if I'd been the lead engineer on an underappreciated system and someone was able to come along and do this with it, I'd have a moment of pride in learning of it (i.e., yes, in addition to being a serious computer, the Plus/4 can also be a first-rate games machine).
