| is the C1570 compatible with +4/C16?
Because I'm (finally) getting one ...
I know it works with the C64 and it should work with my C16 but I just wondered if anyone knew for sure?
Incidentally I saw a 1551 for sale on E-Bay today- I bet they're quite rare...
Trouble is, the description said it was damaged

| Thanks!
I'm buying one off e-bay mainly for use with a C64- The 1570s seem to go much cheaper than 1541s, probably because most people either don't search for them or don't know much about them (like me!)
I've never had a CBM disk drive before, so it'll be a new experience for me being able to load stuff without the ten minute wait for the tape...

| It should wotk together ...
I remember that the 1570 was a single sided 1571, which was almost compatible to the 1541.
The features a 1570 had, were first a faster serial transfer (which only worked with the C128) and the ability to read single sided CP/M-Disks.
If you want to use it instead of a 1541, it should satisfy you. A 1551 is faster, but it only works together with the C264-computers.
