Aaaah, that Vampire2 card. It is unbelievable. It is soooo much faster than anything we called classic Amiga, even faster than the fastest A4000 with 68060 card.
Why I am so interested in, though I have no Amiga yet? (I mean I have a non-working A500, but after Vampire 500 will appear, may consider repairing it) I think that the A600 is the real successor of the Plus/4, if you have ever seen one in black mod, you will understand.
It has no improved AGA video chip (so a little behind A1200), but already had native HDD and PCMCIA support. So with proper CPU speed, (compact flash) HDD and now with HDMI video it is a perfect small home Retro PC you just connect to your TV, and ready to go .
If you look for this video on the Vampire2, (one of the developers (Majsta) speaks about the design challenges on Balcan Computer Congress), you will be surprised, what computer he has on his right: A Plus/4+1551 :-)

He said: "when using wit DDR3 memory, the upgraded Amiga 1200 can be on par with modern computers." :-)

I've never seen that. Was it spray-painted?

That's amazing!

I prefer matte paintings, but harder to keep it clean :-) Anyhow the Vampire card is not a cheap one, and a second hand one may go up to 500USD too.

Yep I showed the A600 with the Vampire 2 at the last meeting. I had prepared some software to demo the power of the CPU card - a few really impressive fractal rendering programs (one was an iterated function solver and another was a mandelbrot zoomer) and 32-color Wolfenstein 3D, which attracted some attention. I had also prepared Gloom 3D but forgot to bring the floppies.
Robert, I missed your showing of the C128 Video DAC. Maybe next time, I would like to see the new design.
