| Master system joypad on a plus 4
My friend uses a SEGA MASTER SYSTEM joypad on his plus 4 using adaptors is this a good idea as I hate joypads they are meant for consoles!

Unless the adaptor contains some protection circuitry, it is strongly discouraged to connect these devices even to a C=64. And the 264 series machines have even more sensitive joystick port construction. Make your own conclusion.
But what has being safe or unsafe to use these controllers to do with your hating joypads used outside console environments?

There is even a protect circuit designed by Solder. It seems that even a standard joystick could make electronic damages if plugged/unplugged while the machine is on.
