Hello guys,
Mr.Luigi di FRAIA (one of my HW heroes  ) put something together I did not read it yet here, or was just too lazy
It is a USB host card, more importantly it uuses the User Port on C64 + some SWs in memory.
File Transfer rate up to 16KB/s, supports FAT16 and FAT32 formats.
Theoretically all external USB storage devices can be used. (I have questionmarks related to CD and DVD...)
Although Plus/4 and C64 User port layout is different, a port converter (like our most favourite joystick converter, just here User port --> User port) could be produced and the SW could be "hacked" or modified. Due to CIA write it could be easy for experts.

The reading speed is far from the recently shown device playing full screen video (that utilizes expansion port, not the user port, able to directly map the data into bitmap memory area instead of running a routine reading and placing it into memory byte by byte).
