| New 4 bits Graphic mode
I've just heard that there is a mode to obtain (for C64) HiRes multicolor images with 4 bit color-deep of *each* pixel, without the limitations of 8x8 matrix, and without the half resolution (160 instead of 320). This mode is named GoDot and is managed by a specific Uility; see at: http://users.aol.com/howtogodot/welcome.htm Anybody of you graphicians want to convert to +4? Can you think about an image HiRes 320x200 with any 16-color per pixel?

SVS, there might just be a converter on Jim's CD here...... just haven't gotten that far.
And GoDot only uses 16 colors, not 121... therefore some people may consider the GoDot format 'inferior' to the standard TED high resolution screen.

| that is not
That is not a new graphic mode. Read it carefully. It just stores the colors for every pixel in 4 bit.

| Is this meaning that it is not allowed
to view a 4-bits image on screen?

Yeah, but it was flexible and was heavily supported... besides it cost a lot.HA! Yeah, there is a converterviewer in the graphics toolkit.

The link is dead and not backed up by the wayback machine. Is this information gone forever?

If I got what you're searching for, it should be part of the GoDot's suite, here the first upper one.
