Great article carrion. I did some conversions from others systems too, and I can't wait for the other parts of your articles. Perhaps you can make a small tutorial or example too. I am always will for learning from the masters.

I enjoyed every word of your article! I hope your work will help us and more graphicians will recognize the +4. Last year I contacted several selected C64 artists asking help (drawing sprites, bitmaps, logos for AIT2), The answers: "no time" and "I don't know +4". I tried to explain there aren't so much differences (in char mode, none) but it didn't help. I'm glad you started these articles

Very good! I like the two phase gifs with C64/Plus4 versions of the same pic. Very efficient way of demonstrating which one is which: the better looking is always the Plus/4 picture! :-b

I really liked the picture and the posts. I agree with all your comment on strange jumps in luminance, blues and greens, though sometimes I really had troubles to find a nice green. Due to greyish white color unfortunately I burned my "work in progress" raytrace pic into my parents CRT color TV, as I turned to max. Lum to get it white Extra to that: 8 shades of black is a lost chance to have unrivalled 16greys in palette for fantastic monochome movie scene rips (maybe Sam Coupe?); several orange does not feel orange (caused big headache on my Mazda pic recolor), red is too pale (was a problem with Alfa Brera retouch). Well, if I think about a little, I have 7-8 useable multicolor pics about nice cars, worth a release
