Very nice mods Rudis.
With respect to the d-sub joystick ports, did you just jump the select lines and the 5 control lines? I am assuming you know the dangers of using some of the fancier joysticks on a plus/4 and the fragility of the TED latch.

I have two almost dead TED Plussis, and as per the owner, he used Quickshot joysticks with rapid fire function (I got them with the package).
So I fully agree with Crock, you do not need paddles to kill the TED, just some fancy joystick with Rapid Fire On.
Otherwise your mod just looks great.
One question, just curious: why everyone kept the original round DIN joy ports? I can say they are rather useless. No way to squeeze Sub-D to their place, and just throw them out? or it will harm the original design, so the Plussy is not original any more?

well... i have one joystick with mini-din and want to use it as well 
but you are right, they don't make sense anymore..

now with jiffydos pal installed the loading speed is terrific good :D

I love what you've done by adding the 9-pin connector for the joysticks... Do you know where I can find a drawing or schematic showing where to make these connections, so I could do the same on my machine?
