| Geos 3.5 on a 1541 or 1581 ???
Hello all!
Some years ago JamesC tried to modify the Geos v3.5 to be used with a 1541 (or was it a 1581?). Haven't heard anything of that conversion. Was it ever released? it would be interesting to get a 1541 working with Geos because then it might be used with 64HDD, too. And certainly a 1551 is still much rarer than a 1541. To have two of them is pure luxury.

Definitely it was not released a such version. Me too I considered to do it, and had preliminary studies. Main problem to face is that GEOS 3.5 has its dedicated turbo loader (1551) then one should convert it to the timings of 1541. I made some attempts with more long timings (1541 is slower) but all without success.

Hm, what about using the original Geos 1541 drivers and modify their timing to be used with the plussi? Wouldn't that be the easier way?

Good idea. If you have the C64 disk you could investigate over the 1541-driver (use my Disk-explorer if you have any other disk editor) and see inside (load-address, lenght of code, etc.)
