| C16 PSU plug dimensions
I guess this has been discussed here before, I just couldn't find it.
What are the dimensions of the barrel connector?
x.y mm/x.y mm

It appears that the dimensions are 1.7mm inner diameter/5.5mm outer diameter, however this isn't a common size, so for a plug, a 2.1mm ID/5.5mm OD connector should suffice.

Thanks
I remembered that the inner diameter was very uncommon. Even by just looking at it I could tell it wasn't like any of those that came with a standard PSU I got a while ago.
Unfortunately, the new PSU I was going to buy has only a 5.5/2.5mm plug and a 5.5/1.5mm plug. The latter one probably won't fit on the pin and the former might have too much play for a good connection?! Not sure about that. Any opinions?
2.1mm inner diameter usually comes here with 5.0mm outer diameter (I checked various universal PSUs, though they all have a limited selection of plugs).

***Correction***
It's actually 2.1mm ID / 5.5mm OD
Today I dug out a generic PSU with 1.7/4.0, 2.1/5.0 and 2.5/5.5 connectors, and found that the 1.7/4.0 connector wouldn't fit at all The other two connectors worked fine
Also (in case you missed it), use a PSU with an output of 800mA or higher.

Well, this is strange because I'm sure the orginial one looked different then those that came with that not-so-generic PSU (but maybe those were uncommon, too ).
To sum it up... You are saying, either 2.1mm/5.5mm or 2.5/5.5mm will both work fine even though the former is prefered?!
Knew about that. I already got an 1A generic one which works fine but that is at a different place and I couldn't check which of the plugs from that one fit (I just tested by trial and error and one seemed ok).
This new PSU is actually 3A (which is probably an overkill) but I can use it for a couple of other geadgets I have and it's also accordant to the new eco-friendly standard. And just a few Euros more expensive than a cheap generic one.
