| oxyron party 2008 - back to north pole ;-)
yo...
oxyron is going to organize another multi-platform party in february 2008 (22.02-24.02.2008)
last time a very nice plus/4 demo won the mixed-compo (zenith of puberty)- and next time we hope for some more fresh blood from the plus/4 scene
a few facts:
- multi platform event - space for approx. 200 ppl - big grand stand - live gigs: welle: erdball and pocketmaster from swiss - free coffee and tea 24 hrs. / day - food, beer, soft drinks at low prices 24 hrs. / day - separate sleeping room - all the usual competitions - cozy overall atmosphere - enough parking space for 100+ cars
...
more detailed informations at: www.oxyron-party.de
i hope to see some of you there...

Its still alive and i only use it for "special occasions": Marriages, Burials, Winning the Lottery... And i only pour coffee in it that is made from gold-plated fair-traded coffeebeans
Are there going to be new coffee-mugs next year?
Anyway: I like you chose the same location. (But i guess 200 ppl with computers will be the maximum you can stuff in that room, right?)

yes we think about having professional oxyron coffee mugs for sale this time not those hand-made ones we had last year. some ppl asked for them - and most other partys just offer partyshirts... so voila... for 85% we will have 20 or 30 coffee mugs for sale.
yes - 200 ppl with hardware would be the absolute maximum and we would have to open another room (space for 30 extra sceners) for that amount of ppl. but to be honest we actually don't expect 200 ppl to attend. 120+ would be a good success for our 2nd party.
and if 200 show up - there will always be a few sceners without hardware so we thought its ok to announce this party as a 200 ppl party + hardware hehehe.

mhh... come on ppl... we have a plus/4 prepared for the competitions
btw. our website got a major update...
we now have the timetable, comprules, compomachines and some other info online
remote entries will be accepted (i'd be happy to receive some plus/4 stuff hehe)
and to prove that this party is multi-platform for real we also released an invitation on atari st... keep going

@Yazoo:
I was positively surprised about extendending your party to be "atari-compatible". A very good decision. Even if there would be no atari releases i'm looking forward for a demoshow on ST od XL

Aaah, gotta love an XL entry, me too, that's a very interesting platform indeed. For example, Numen is a demo which you can difficultly forget...

@Dr. Death... hmm im not sure that there won't be atari releases. rumours say theres a VCS 4k and eventually some other stuff... but i can't make any promises because i don't know if those ppl are going to finish their work / attend the party 100% ...well, it would be boring to know what we can expect anyways

Personally I am a long time SID composer, nonetheless I'm the first who prefers stock hardware's sound (though I think stuff like Shade kick asses!), and that's the reason why we all tried since years to find a TED editor or whatever would work in that direction. At the moment we have these chances: - DIY, doit yourself in some ways; - LODplay, very simple usage and very simple results; - LODplay2, from Csabo's 8sob sources, he told us it's so immediate to understand how it has to work at its best, but we're puzzled yet - TLCplay, a complicated one but had been my choice; - 4-Mat's, from TED Storm, never used...

Early news throught Zed Yago's very first words: TRSI on C64 won the 8bit demo compo, Degauss' "Haziasan" demo has been ranked 2nd, by one vote over the 3rd ranked, which is another Plus/4 demo by Bauknecht, a real newcomer!!

@Chronos: No, i cook háziasan myself But Bauknecht served the more spicy dishes this time. Make sure you check it out! (Honestly i feel a bit bad because Threeve should be the 2nd place instead of my dentro).

About Threeve: ok my terrible mistake, unfortunately Follow the link to Pouet in order to download the official beta version from Decca himself (yeah, it was the demo I uploaded in late night), and let's wait for the 100%. Both Rulez.org and emucamp.com links would be eventually restored only in case of positive answer by Decca about spreading a party version.
I beg your pardon, you all...

@Luca: Seems that everything is settled. I think everybody gets a little "trigger happy" when a thing like this BKN-prod pops out of nowhere
I have to say that the BKN-People are very nice fellows and we had a lot of fun and conversations.
@Chronos: We all saw your picture. But i don't know what happened to my mind, i didn't recognize it was yours and i was asking myself: "Hm, this is the C64-palette... strange". Anyway: good work Chronos!

"Want to code again" is th sentence I would listen from ya! Anyway, this OXyParty too had your phantom flyin g on the ceiling ("bp08 invitro" ). I could really re-launch limiTED2 if you say you got time to finish an old something
PS: bubis, didn't you find that the last part of Threeve reminds Heartfixer 95% a bit?

Must say: if neither stuff like Threeve, from a new crew, with that quality, with 4x TED sound, with those effects, can move you to vote talk about or code by yourself...well, it's a scandal. Otherwise, we are all dead, let's change this cool site in a shrine one and let's close the carousel once forever. Shit.
