Yeah, I got a stack of these too and then had to rush out and buy a little hack-saw! After I did my LCD addon ( you can see it here....http://dailly.blogspot.com ) I decided that the next thing I should do is build a board that I can take wires from the 8bitbaby that then plug right into a Breadboard to make prototyping easier.
Would have made life a lot easier.....
