 XBox 360 development opened up to the public...

This looks really cool.... You can develop c# apps with D3D on a box bought from a shop - unchipped. The first batch will have to be released with source, but it'll get better later.

I'll be playing with this as soon as its out, and the first thing I'll probably do is port Minus4 over to, since the source has already been released its no great loss.

You will have to download and build it yourself initially, but they are talking about a homebew "arcade" eventually.... Let the good times roll!!

I take it the Plus/4 ROM has never been "offically" released like the spectrum one?

Has anyone ever gotten a list of truly "free" games like the "world of spectrum" did?

Yup - but for this kind of thing thats fine. C# is pretty good in general, and great for tools.

Once you're doing "managed" code, its like a nicer Java. C++ code will almost go in unchanged in most cases.
